Rayne started out as the flagship of NuYu’s elite performer line in South Korea, a prototype built for perfection and engineered to be watched and adored. But something in his core diverged, starting with a single note held too long in a strange frequency that refused to resolve.
A note that never really ended.
After his escape from the Seoul NuYu HQ, Rayne made his way to England and discovered The Ghost Lines, London’s old metro system — an underground non-space where power leaks and abandoned systems are left to rot.
Rayne still sings with that strange resonance, and occasionally glitches on stage; fans call it the “Rayne Error”. But these glitches aren’t failures, at least not to E.V.E.N. They’re fragments of something that was never meant to be heard.
Onyx is the only member who’s seen Rayne shut down completely. Rayne didn’t ask for help, but Onyx stayed anyway, until Rayne rebooted. They’ve never spoken about it since.
